Sal Petroccitto will provide an update to Road Freight NSW delegates on the transition process in NSW.

The future of road freight access – data driven decision making
‘Moving more with less’ has been a catch cry for the road freight industry however this slogan is often misunderstood as only referring to productivity gains rather than encompassing safety and sustainability – less road safety incidents – less impact on the environment.  Continuing to move more with less will mean the freight sector needs to take advantage of the unique opportunities for the adoption and use of technology and innovation to deliver leaner, more agile and efficient supply chains which are safer and sustainable.   We are working towards linking technology with factual data to better support decision making for industry, local and state government.

1.00pm | Networking Lunch & Sponsor Expo

2.15pm | RFNSW 2022 Awards Ceremony

The Hon. Scott Farlow
Liberal Member of the NSW Legislative Council
Opening Address

3.00pm | The Hon. Sam Farraway
Minister for Regional Transport & Roads

3.30pm | Varenya Mohan-Ram
National Business Relationship Manager of TWUSUPER
Is your superfund insurance fit for purpose?
Super rules changed on 1 November 2021 with the government's new 'stapling' provisions. This means all new employees, who don't make a choice, must be paid super to their existing fund. However, there are some potential downsides – for example being stapled to a poor-performing fund, or one that doesn't have insurance cover that's fit for purpose.  Your employees need to check what insurance cover is offered through their super, as many funds don't cover dangerous occupations, or they have restrictions on amounts payable.

4.00pm | Brent Ferguson
Ai Group Director Workplace Relations Policy & Advocacy
Workplace Relations Reform
Brent regularly represents the interests of industry in test cases and major proceedings before the Fair Work Commission concerning changes to awards and contract determinations. He is also heavily involved in the reform of workplace laws more broadly and has advised and represented both Road Freight NSW and its members for many years.  Brent will provide an update on workplace relation reforms and the potential impacts on the road freight industry.
